WHY WE ARE #FORESTPROUD

#forestproud is a cutting-edge communications effort powered by the Society of American Foresters (SAF) and supported by a diverse coalition of people committed to stewarding and championing forest climate solutions. Their membership is diverse, ranging from organizations working for forest preservation and conservation, state and federal agencies, and members of the forest products industry. 

However, all share the common goals of keeping forests as forests, reimagining our cities, rethinking our carbon future, and reconnecting people to forests. The slogan #forestproud allows all members to speak with one cohesive voice, reaching more people and making a greater long-term impact for our forests. 

As foresters, we work hard to educate the public about sustainable forest management and conservation practices. As a small business, this passion is central to Silvatica Designs’ mission of connecting people to nature through handcrafted jewelry and education.  That is why, in January 2020, Silvatica Designs became an official member of the #forestproud community. We are thrilled about this partnership and continue to donate $1 of every purchase to the #forestproud initiative.
