Huginn and Muninn, 2025. Black walnut (Juglans nigra)
These sculptural cuff bracelets are hand-carved from black walnut (Juglans nigra) wood and inspired by Odin’s ravens, Huginn and Muninn, who embody thought and memory in Norse mythology. The design transforms the wrist into a landscape where myth and nature intertwine: the ravens, rendered in three-dimensional relief, sweep dramatically across the surface as though mid-flight. Negative space plays a crucial role in the form, with openwork patterns suggesting the tangle of branches through which the birds navigate. This interplay of light and shadow emphasizes both movement and depth, allowing the bracelet to shift visually as it turns with the body.
